I remember listening to a song either while painting, or doing some other tasks and was inspired by some of the lyrics and the feeling fit well with this painting. Words can have strong emotional responses that are different for each of us, as well as imagery. I like to think about how my art affects viewers, how the environment and an individual’s experiences can affect perception.

The edges are raw and it’s just cardboard (up-cycled packaging) with extra support built in and wood putty applied to some of the supporting cardboard. It’s ready to hang. It’s delicate, but can definitely withstand regular handling and storage. The cardboard is mostly sealed, but can bend differently in certain climates (humid vs. dry)
